Confirming the news of her engagement, Parvati told a leading daily, "Yes, I am engaged. It was a surprise for me as well. Ritesh and I have this habit of taking off on a short trip every two months. I had planned a trip to Udaipur in the last week of January, but Ritesh kept postponing it citing work and other reasons. I finally got irritated and told him that I didn’t want to go anywhere. That’s when he said, ‘Let’s go’. We finally landed there on March 4, and the reason he kept postponing the trip became clear to me the next day. We were enjoying a stroll in the evening, when he suddenly got down on his knees and proposed. Seems, he was waiting for my ring to be ready and that’s why he kept postponing the trip."

She further told TOI that, "Well, the engagement was hush-hush because it was a surprise to me as well. My mother, who is based out of Canada, was in Mumbai for a week and Ritesh and his parents had already planned an engagement brunch with her. I was totally out of the loop. In fact, I’m amazed how not one person revealed the plan. He proposed to me on March 5 and we had an official engagement party on the 16th."
On the career front, Parvati Vaze made her TV debut with lead role in Star Plus show 'Sapnon Se Bhare Naina'. She was also a part of Ranbir Kapoor's 'Bachna Ae Haseeno' and played the role of Minissha Lamba's friend.
