New Delhi: ‘Saath Nibhana Saathiya’ has been hogging all the limelight ever since a video from the show went viral on social media. Yashraj Mukhate turned one of the scenes from ‘Saathiya’ into a hilarious rap and it was heavily circulated on different social media platforms. Fans couldn’t help but ask ‘Rasode Mein Kaun Tha?’ after the clip became viral. The makers of the show decided to strike when the iron is red hot and they immediately announced a new season of ‘Saathiya’.

Star Plus recently unveiled the first promo of ‘Saath Nibhana Saathiya 2’ and it managed to create waves on Twitter and Instagram. Devoleena Bhattacharjee aka Gopi Bahu was seen talking about ‘cooker’ and ‘rasode’ in the first teaser of the show. The ‘Bigg Boss 13’ contestant shared the promo on her Instagram handle and said that the show was brought back on popular demand.



TV buffs are quite excited to know who will play Gehna in ‘Saathiya 2’. The makers are yet to reveal the face of the actress, who will play the lead role in the upcoming show.

According to a report in a leading daily, a popular character from the first season will be part of ‘Saathiya 2’. Yes, you read that right!

Mohammad Nazim, who played the lead role of Ahem Modi, will reprise his role in the new season. Sounds great, isn’t it? The character of Ahem will be back with a twist.



“Rashmi Sharma and Pawan Kumar are leaving no stone unturned to get the best of the lot on board. After Devoleena, they have now roped in Nazim. While a formal meeting is yet to be held between the actor and makers, the deal is as good as locked. Ahem is an important character, and season two will be incomplete without him. The creative team is in the process of fleshing out the graph of the character. Expect Ahem to be back, but with a twist,” a source told Times Of India.



‘Saathiya’ also starred Rucha Hasabnis,Vishal Singh and Rupal Patel in key roles. The show went off air in 2017 after a successful run of seven long years.

Gossip mills are buzzing with the rumours that 'Saathiya 2' will replace 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2' on Star Plus. The romantic saga starring Erica Fernandes and Parth Samthaan is expected to get a new time slot after the launch of 'Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2'.
