In the movie, Pratyusha's reel boyfriend has name Rahul similar to her real-life beau Rahul Raj Singh. When Rahul was contacted for the same, he called the film 'bogus' and 'fraud'. He has also filed complaint against Kamya Punjabi in Versova Police Station demanding ban on the film.

According to a report in DNA, Rahul who was miffed at the this said, "What film is she talking about? How and when did she shoot this film with Pratyusha? I’ve a record of all of Pratyusha’s activities in the months before I lost her. She was always with me. We went together to Ranchi for my brother’s child’s naming ceremony. Then we went to Goa. When did Pratyusha shoot this so-called film with Kamya?”

Slamming Kamya Punjabi, Rahul called the film a 'cruel joke'. "This is nothing but an attempt to make money in a dead person’s name. How can this woman continue to use Pratyusha’s name to get publicity?" he said. Rahul added that he is planning to write a book on Pratyusha.

Kamya blames Rahul for Pratyusha's suicide and even the actress' parents back the claim. On the other hand, Rahul alleges that Pratyusha's parents were the reason behind her death. The actress was found hanging at her home in Oshiwara last year on April 1.
