New Delhi: The cast and crew of ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’ were asked to undergo COVID-19 tests after Parth Samthaan tested positive for the novel Coronavirus. The shooting for the romantic saga co-starring Erica Fernandes was immediately stopped after Parth’s test results came out as positive. The actor, who plays the role of Anurag in ‘KZK 2’, took to social media to inform his fans that he was infected with Coronavirus.

Erica Fernandes aka Prerna from ‘Kasautii 2’ shared a note on her Instagram story and said that she is yet to receive her COVID-19 test results. The actress said that false claims about her test results are doing the round on social media. She added that she will inform everyone about the test results when she knows about it.

"It was brought to my notice that false claims to my test results have been doing the rounds on social media. Although we are all hoping that it turns out negative but I have yet not received my results. My special request to online portals, PLEASE DO NOT spread false news before confirming. I will for sure let you guys know the end result when I learn about it. Much Love. STAY POSITIVE, STAY SAFE," Erica wrote.

Karan Patel, who is playing the role of new Mr. Bajaj, has tested negative for COVID-19. The 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' actor has replaced Karan Singh Grover in the show. KSG quit 'KZK 2' as he was not willing to shoot amid the COVID-19 crisis.

Shubhaavi Choksey, who plays the role of Parth's on-screen mother, has also tested negative for the novel Coronavirus. She wrote, "I have tested Negetive...I really want to thank each and everyone of you who has prayed for us , I read all the messages and was so overwhelmed with your wishes.. I was so touched that so many of my school & college friends messaged and called and said they are praying for my families and me."
