Actress Shruti Sharma, who rose to fame after playing the lead role in Colors TV's 'Gathbandhan' opposite Abrar Qazi, is in a happy space professionally. Her TV show 'Gathbandhan' went off-air last month and her co-star Abrar Qazi has already bagged lead role in Star Plus show  'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' spin-off 'Yeh Hai Chahatein' which is set to go on-air from tomorrow (19th December). Now, Shruti too has bagged her next project. The talented actress is set to enter Bollywood and has already started shooting for her first film.




Shruti Sharma is making her Bollywood debut with Ekta Kapoor's upcoming production venture titled 'Pagglait' featuring 'Danga' fame Sanya Malhotra in lead role. According to a leading daily, Shruti will be seen playing Sanya's friend in the upcoming women-centric film.

Confirming the same, Shruti told TOI that, "It’s a Lucknow-based story revolving around relationships. The film is women-centric and has brilliant actors. I couldn’t have asked for a better debut in Bollywood."


Shruti Sharma also shared the good news with her fans on social media. The actress took to her Instagram account recently and posted a picture holding 'Pagglait' clapboard in her hands revealing that her character name is 'Nazia' in the film directed and written by Umesh Bist.

On the career front, Shruti Sharma made her TV debut with Star Plus' reality show 'India's Next Superstars' judged by Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar. She was one of the finalists and was declared as the runner up and received a special mention from judges.
