Erica Fernandes and Parth Samthaan starrer ‘Kasautii 2’ will bid adieu to the viewers on October 3 after a successful run of two years on Star Plus. It was rumoured that ‘Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2’ will take over the 8pm slot on the channel. We had earlier informed you that the new season will take a prime time slot.
However, the contrary to the rumours ‘Saathiya 2’ is not replacing the romantic saga. The upcoming show will air at 9pm slot, which is currently occupied by ‘Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke’. Yes, you read that right!

Rajan Shahi, producer of ‘Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke’, while talking to a leading daily, has confirmed that the show is going off air.
“Those associated with the show has had an enriching and satisfying journey during its course. It was coming together of a great team — be it the actors, crew or technicians. The team had great synergy. While the journey is coming to an end, we welcome the decision with a smile, as ‘YRHPK' has been all about optimism and positivity,” Shahi told Times Of India.
Interestingly, Rupal Patel, who plays the role of Meenakshi Rajvansh, will reprise her role of Kokilaben Modi in ‘Saathiya 2’.
‘Yeh Rishtey’, which stars Shaheer Sheikh and Rhea Sharma, is the spin-off of ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’. The show earlier aired at 10pm; however, the channel shifted it to 9pm to make way for 'Anupamaa'. While Rupali Ganguly starrer 'Anupamaa' has done quite well in terms of TRPs, 'YRHPK' has seen a drop in numbers after the change in time slot.
