Post winning 'Bigg Boss 12', TV actress Dipika Kakar Ibrahim is busy spending quality time with husband Shoaib Ibrahim and her family. But the 'Sasural Simar Ka' actress has reportedly signed her next show and will be seen playing the lead role in Sandiip Sikcand's upcoming show on Star Plus opposite Karan V Grover. However, Dipika or the makers are yet to confirm the same. Now according to latest reports, bit Dipika Kakar but 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' actress Divyanka Tripathi was the first choice for the show.

According to an entertainment portal, show's producer Sandiip Sikcand wanted good friend Divyanka Tripathi to play the main lead in his show and the actress too was thinking about it as there were constant reports of her current show 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' going off air. But, Ekta Kapoor's long-running show has now got an extension due to which Divyanka couldn't be a part of Saniip Sikcand's Star Plus show.

Along with 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' opposite Karan Patel, Divyanka is also busy with her digital debut show titled 'Cold Lassi And Chicken Masala' opposite Rajeev Khandelwal.

Revealing how 'Paltan' actress came into the picture, the SpotboyE report further states that, "After Divyanka opted out of the project, the hunt for a new leading lady began and defeating Drashti Dhami, Deepika Singh and Pooja Gor, Dipika Kakar won the race."

Sandiip Sikcand made his production debut with an unconventional show 'Dhhai Kilo Prem' which revolved around two overweight individuals. And his new show, featuring Dipika Kakar in lead, will also be an unconventional one.
