Mumbai: TV star Raj Anadkat, who plays the role of Tapu in ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, shared a heartfelt post to remember his co-star Ghanshyam Nayak. The senior actor passed away on Sunday (October 3) at a hospital in Mallad. He was known for his character of Nattu Kaka in the hit sitcom, which airs on Sony SAB. 


Raj got emotional while penning his thoughts about his co-star. He shared a photo with Nayak on Instagram along with a note. The duo can be seen smiling while posing for the camera.  


The actor revealed that he shared his make-up room with Nayak on the sets of 'Taarak Mehta'. He added that Ghanshyam was elated on returning to the sets after several days.


"Me and kaka was sharing a make up and he had come on set after a long time . He entered the room and said ‘ aaav beta kem che’ I took his blessings and he was so happy coming back on set after so many days . He asked me about my family and said ‘ saras , bhagwan badhanu bhalu Kare'," Raj wrote on Instagram.


TV's Tappu lauded his co-star's determination despite his age while sharing the post on social media. "His dedication and hard work at such age was commendable. Will never forget those anecdotes he used to share . Kaka you will always be remembered," he added.


Fans have flooded the comments section with their messages, expressing grief over Nayak's demise.



Ghanshyam Nayak's Funeral


Dilip Joshi, Munmun Dutta and other 'Taarak Mehta' actors attended the last rites of Ghanshyam Nayak, which were held in Mumbai on Monday (October 4). The veteran actor, who worked in several Gujarati and Hindi films, was diagnosed with cancer. Last year, the 'Saarabhai Vs Saarabhai' actor underwent surgery to remove the knots from his neck.
