Naagin 5: Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum LEAD Approached For Ekta Kapoor's Show?

Ekta Kapoor had earlier announced that 'Naagin 4' will be replaced by a new season of the same show.

New Delhi: TV buffs have been eagerly waiting for ‘Naagin 5’ ever since Ekta Kapoor announced that ‘Naagin 4’ will end with a four-episode finale. The fourth season of the franchise managed to rake in decent TRPs but the COVID-19 lockdown acted as a bolt from the blue for the show. The makers decided to end the supernatural saga and replace it with a new season. Speculations are rife that ‘Bigg Boss 5’ contestant Mahek Chahel will feature in ‘Naagin 5’. As per the latest buzz, the makers have approached another popular TV actress for the show. We are talking about Dipika Kakar. Yes, you read that right. According to a report in an entertainment portal, Dipika has been approached to play the female lead in ‘Naagin 5’. Ekta Kapoor has been keen on getting Dipika onboard for the longest time, the report in Pinkvilla said. It remains to be seen if the ‘Bigg Boss 12’ winner will give her nod or not.

Interestingly, Dipika was also rumoured to join ‘Naagin 4’ after the entry of Rashami Desai. However, the rumours died soon and the show’s shooting came to a halt due to the lockdown. On the professional front, Dipika Kakar was last seen in ‘Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum’ opposite Karan V Grover. The show went off air earlier this year. The actress shot to fame after playing the titular role in Colors TV’s ‘Sasural Simar Ka’. Talking about ‘Naagin 5’, gossip mills are also buzzing with the rumours that ‘Beyhadh 2’ actor Shivin Narang might play the male lead. The makers are expected to resume shoot after the Maharashtra government issued a letter, giving permission to the industry to start shooting but with ‘conditions’.

‘Naagin 4’ stars Nia Sharma and Vijayendra Kumeria in lead roles. The show also featured Anita Hassanandani, Rashami Desai, Jasmin Bhasin and Sayantani Ghosh in key roles. Watch this space for more updates!
