Star Plus launched several new shows in 2020 including 'Ghum Hain Kisikey Pyaar Meiin', 'Imlie', ''Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2' and 'Lockdown Ki Love Story'. Both 'Imlie' and 'Ghum Hain Kisikey Pyaar Mein' have managed to win the hearts of the viewers within a short span of time. The shows, which are remakes of popular Bengali dramas, have performed quite well in terms of ratings.

Rashmi Sharma's 'Lockdown Ki Love Story', which was launched in August 2020, has not been able to garner TRPs as per expectations. The show stars Mohit Malik and Sana Sayyad in lead roles. While Mohit impressed the fans in 'Kulfi Kumar Bajewala', Sana was seen in 'Divya Drishti'. Both the shows aired on Star Plus and enjoyed a good run on the small screen.

If a recent report in a leading daily is to be believed, the channel is planning to pull the plug on 'Lockdown Ki Love Story'. The show, which shifted to late night time slot last month, has failed to witness a rise in its numbers. Star Plus is reportedly planning to end the show in two months. Yes, you read that right!

Lockdown Ki Love Story To Go Off Air?

The show has not been faring well in the TRP charts despite multiple attempts by the makers. Last month, Anirudh Dave entered the show as Raghav but his entry didn't help the show in gaining eyeballs.

"The show was shifted to the 11 PM slot on November 2 to accommodate the launch of new reality show Taare Zameen Par. The move was decided as a result of the show's average TRPs with the hope that airing after Yeh Hai Chahatein will increase its ratings," a source told Times Of India.

'Lockdown Ki Love Story' focuses on the love story of Sonam and Dhruv, who are forced to share a house with their respective families due to the Coronavirus lockdown. The show looked promising but it couldn't strike a chord with the viewers.
