Shruti Bapna who's most popularly known as Vandita "Vandu" of popular Star Plus show 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' bags yet another role in a Bollywood film and it is 'Mardaani 2' starring Rani Mukerji in the lead role. Also seen in multiple hindi films like 'Wake Up Sid', 'Rowdy Rathore' and 'Gabbar is Back' and most recently in Arjun Rampal's 'Daddy', Shruti, just shared the picture of the clapboard from 'Mardaani 2' announcing her next film.

Rani Mukerji began shooting 'Mardaani 2' this week and her she looked fierce and intense in the first look picture from the sets of the film. Produced by Rani's husband Aditya Chopra and directed by Gopi Puthran, the film is a sequel of 'Mardaani' and it's reportedly releasing late this year. Rani reprises her role of police officer Shivani Shivaji Roy who has a 21 year old villain to fight this time, say reports.

Shruti  now joins the cast too and sharing the clapboard pic, she captions it with just two emojis.

Apart from 'YHM', Shruti was also seen in many other TV shows like 'Sasural Genda Phool', 'Saas Bina Sasural' among a few others.

Shruti's role in 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' was an endearing one and when she quit the show post her accident track, the fans missed her hugely. Her character 'Vandu' was the elder sister of lead protagonist 'Ishita Bhalla'(played by Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya).
