‘Pavitra Rishta’ lead actress & Sushant Singh Rajput’s ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande has been on a break from acting ever since the much-loved show went off-air in 2014. Also, there are constant rumors of Ankita’s entry in Bollywood & now the actress has confirmed that she has finally got a big break in Bollywood with Kangana Ranaut's ambitious project 'Manikarna: The Queen of Jhansi'.

The TV actress will be playing the role of 'Jhalkaribai' in the film. She confirmed the news on her Instagram account and shared the image of the print story with the caption, "No words .. #jhalkaribai #manikarnika #thankful #3rdjuly2017🙏"

Speaking about her role in the much-anticipated film, Ankita told Mumbai Mirror that, "I'd never heard of her before, not many have, but Jhalkaribai was one of the greatest heroes of our proud history. I'm honoured that I'll be telling her story to the world, fighting alongside Kangana's Rani Laxmibai."

Ankita has already started preparing for her role in the film. And to get her character right, she is currently getting trained in sword-fighting with famous Hollywood action director Nick Powell.

Ankita has been trying her best to make a grand entry in B-Town from a long time. According to reports, she was in talks for films like Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ and Sanjay Dutt's 'Malang' but things didn’t materialise.

And now, the actress is finally making her grand Bollywood debut with a strong role in 'Manikarnika' with Kangana Ranaut and this is indeed a great news for her fans.
