The popular film journalist and editor had posted a story on Instagram, mocking Hina Khan's Cannes debut which did not go down well with the TV stars  who slammed him for his post.

And after coming under fire, the man in question has now posted an apology on his Instagram and insisted that he was misquoted. Read his apology letter to Hina Khan below:

The editor was widely criticised by his earlier comment of Hina Khan's Cannes appearance. He had posted a story on Instagram, in which he shared a picture of the TV posing at Cannes 2019 red carpet, and captioned it, "Cannes has suddenly become chandivali studios kya?"  This act of the magazine editor irked a host of TV fraternity members, who lambasted him for mocking Hina.

Coming to Hina's Cannes debut, the actress walked the red carpet of the 72nd Cannes Film Festival in a sparkling gown by Lebanese designer, Ziad Nakad.

Hina, known for her roles in shows like "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai" and "Kasautii Zindagii Kay", wore the glittery grey gown with a moderate trail and a plunging neckline.

This is Hina's debut at the Cannes Film Festival

She completed the look with her hair tied back, minimal make-up and nude pink lips. Hina's look was widely appreciated by fans on social media and the actress was termed as the ultimate fashionista by many for her perfect choice of outfit for the French gala.
