Madirakshi to take on Sita's Bhadrakaali avatar on TV show

Mumbai: Actress Madirakshi, who plays Sita in “Siya Ke Ram”, will be seen portraying the Bhadrakaali avatar of the mythological character, in the popular TV show. “Siya Ke Ram” will depict a transformation of Sita that she undertakes to protect her husband Ram -- essayed by Ashish Sharma in the show. “'Siya Ke Ram' has depicted various unseen facets about the Ramayana. While everyone knew Sita only from the swayamvar (a practice of choosing a husband), 'Siya Ke Ram' depicted Sita's journey from her birth until she took the decision to go into exile with Ram,” Madirakshi said in a statement. “Viewers will now get to see Sita's untold story; the very fact that she underwent a transformation, took the Bhadrakaali avatar to kill Sahastra Raavan who wished to kill Ram,” she added. Madirakshi said that shooting for this new avatar of Sita was “extremely challenging” for her. “I have been working out excessively in the gym to build on my stamina because the sequence requires me to have a lot of energy. It took me over three hours to get my entire body painted black,” Madirakshi said. “Siya Ke Ram”, aired on Star Plus, is a unique representation of Ramayana from Sita's perspective.
