Alankrita Shrivastava's recently released film 'Lipstick Under My Burkha' broke many stereotypes and went on to be a critical as well as commercial success. All the four protagonists got appreciation from the audience but not many people are aware that actress Plabita Borthakur, who played the role of Muslim girl Rehana Abidi, is the sister of 'Swaragini' fame actress Parineeta Borthakur in real life.

Parineeta, who has been a part of various TV shows, is happy with the praises coming in for her sister's performance and is proud that Plabita has chosen a strong film like 'Lipstick Under My Burkha'.

Speaking about the same, Parineeta told a leading daily that, "Extremely happy with the success of the film. I saw the movie during MAMI festival and everyone gave a standing ovation there. I am proud of my sister. I feel she's done really well as a newcomer."

Parineeta, who played mother to the female leads in 'Swaragini', further told TOI that, "I always loved off-beat films and though I wasn't lucky enough to get such roles, I am happy my sister is fulfilling my dreams."
On the professional front, Parineeta is all set to star in an Assamese film titled "The Underworld".
