New Delhi: Bollywood actor Mahesh Anand, who was known for playing the baddie henchman in the 80s and 90s, passed away on Saturday (February 9). The talented actor had worked with leading tinsel town celebs like Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Govinda and Anil Kapoor. Mahesh, who was married five times, breathed his last at his place in Mumbai.

Usha Bachchani, who was formerly married to Anand, while talking to an entertainment portal, said that she came to known about his demise through the media. She is Mahesh Anand's fourth wife.

Usha, who is currently seen as Kareena Luthra, in Zee TV’s popular show ‘Kundali Bhagya, said that she was in touch with him since the time they parted ways. The two actors tied the knot in 2000 and after two years they got divorced.


"I came to know about Mahesh's demise only through media. It's very sad that he is no more. May his soul rest in peace," Usha told SpotboyE.

"That was 17 years ago. And yes, I was not in touch with him at all after I left him, not even with his family," Usha further told the portal.

Talking about Mahesh Anand, the actor was part of films like Kurukshetra’, ‘Vishwatma’ and ‘Shahenshah’. He was last seen in the Govinda starrer ‘Rangeela Raja’. The actor had previously told a portal that he didn’t have any films since the last 18 years.
