ZEE TV's popular show 'Kumkum Bhagya', featuring Shabir Ahluwalia & Sriti Jha in the lead roles of 'Abhi' & 'Pragya', began in the year 2014 and is still a constant in the top 10 TRP list. As reported earlier, the makers of 'Kumkum Bhagya' are set to introduce a generation leap of 20-25 years post which the story will revolve around Abhi-Pragya & their twins. Also, show's entire cast (except Sriti & Shabir) will move out of the show. Now according to latest reports, the makers have already finalized the new male lead post leap and he is none other than reality star Priyank Sharma.

According to an entertainment portal, 'Bigg Boss 11' fame Priyank Sharma has been zeroed in by 'Kumkum Bhagya' makers to play Abhi and Pragya’s son.

Speaking about the same, a source told the portal that, "Priyank will play one of the sons, who will stay with Abhi. The final decision has been taken."

Priyank confirmed being approached for the show & told Bollywood Life that, "Nothing is confirmed as of now."

As per the storyline, Abhi & Pragya will have twin boys who will be separated before the leap. One of the twin babies will be with Abhi whereas their other son would stay with Pragya. Now, it'll be interesting to see if 'Kumkum Bhagya' will fetch good TRPs even after the leap or not.

Speaking about Priyank Sharma, he rose to fame after his stints as contestant in 'MTV Roadies Rising' and 'MTV Splitsvilla 11'. He became a household name after 'Bigg Boss 11'. Recently, he made his acting debut with Vikas Gupta's web-series 'Puncch Beat' which is currently streaming on Ekta Kapoor's ALTBalaji.
