New Delhi: Popular TV actress Shikha Singh, who is fondly known for playing the role of Aaliya in Zee TV’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, welcomed her first child on June 16, 2020. The talented actress and her husband Karan Shah are on cloud nine since the arrival of their little bundle of joy. The couple has named their newborn daughter Alayna Shah. The new mommy is spending quality time with her baby girl.

Shikha took to social media to share a sweet post for her daughter as she turned one-month old on Thursday (July 16). She posted a picture with her hubby and baby girl on Instagram along with a cute post.

“And just like that in between the sleepless nights & the crazy schedules @alaynasinghshah turned 1 month old. Probably u can see the new parenthood on our faces,” Shikha wrote. The actress is yet to reveal the face of her newborn child.

Speculations were rife that Shikha has quit Sriti Jha and Shabir Ahluwalia starrer ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ as she wants to spend time with her newborn baby girl. The ‘Laado’ actress, while talking to a leading daily, clarified that she didn’t quit her hit show. She said that she was hoping to return to the show by January 2021.

‘Ishqbaaaz’ & ‘Manmohini’ actress Rehyna Malhotra has stepped into the shoes of Shikha. She is playing the role of new Aaliya Mehra in Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’.

Shikha Singh got married to Karan Shah in May 2016. The couple welcomed their first child after four years of marriage.

On the professional front, Shikha has also featured in shows like 'Na Aana Is Des Laado', ‘Phulwa’, 'Mahabharat' and 'Sasural Simar Ka'.
