New Delhi: Actor Arti Singh, the sister of Krushna Abhishek and Govinda’s niece, is set to tie the knot with businessman Dipak Chauhan in Mumbai on Thursday. The wedding festivities started earlier this week, with the Haldi, Mehendi, and sangeet ceremony on Tuesday night. While the celebrations have been graced by numerous celebrities, one notable absence has been her uncle, Govinda. Krushna’s wife, Kashmera Shah, has said that she is hopeful that the actor will join the family at Arti's wedding.
Kashmera Shah requests Govinda to attend Arti's wedding
Speaking to Hindustan Times, Kashmera said, "He might have been angry at us, but he is not angry at Arti. And it is not Krushna’s wedding. If he had not come to our wedding, we would have understood, but it is Arti and she really wants him there. I would request him to come as it is Arti, and not take our anger out on her. It’s a happy occasion for the family, and we will welcome him with open arms."

Kashmera also spoke about her respect for Govinda. "I am his daughter-in-law. I will be meeting my father-in-law at the wedding and will greet him by touching his feet. Arti has nothing to do with what ensued between us. These things happen in a family, but that does not mean that we don’t love each other,” she was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.
Earlier, in a conversation with Indian Express, Arti had spoken about their strained relationship with Govinda and said, "There’s a saying that gehun ke sath ghoon bhi pees jata hai (when bulls fight, grass gets trampled). Whatever issue happened between them, I too have to face the consequences. Chi Chi mama and his family don’t speak to me anymore. Both parties have said somethings to each other. However, at the end of the day, we are family. I can only hope that the animosity is resolved soon and we can get back to the good times. I did speak to Krushna about it, and now it’s on mama to forgive him."
The feud between Govinda and Krushna Abhishek started years back when the actor didn’t come to Krushna’s show and later Kashmera wrote on social media indirectly calling Govinda and his wife Sunita a couple who dances for money. Though Krushna later clarified that the post was not for Govinda, the two families have not been on talking terms since then.
