KBC 16: Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan will appear on ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 16’ to promote their much-anticipated horror-comedy, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’. The episode, titled "Sawalon Ki Bhool Bhulaiyaa," promises to be a delightful mix of entertainment, twists, and laughter, as the two stars engage in fun banter with the show’s legendary host, Amitabh Bachchan. 


Amitabh Bachchan recalls the time he saw Vidya Balan on-screen first time


The promos of the episode, set to air on October 18, offer a sneak peek into some of the lighter moments shared between the guests and Big B. In one clip, Amitabh Bachchan recalls Vidya Balan’s stellar debut in the 2005 film ‘Parineeta’. Recalling the first time he saw her on-screen, he said, “The first time I saw you was during the screening of Parineeta, and I was sitting with some bigwigs, including Karan Johar. I told him, 'Iss ladki ko jaldi se sign karo, yeh bahaut badi kalakar ban ne waali hai.’” The veteran actor was deeply moved by her performance and even asked the film’s director, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, “Kaise dhundha inko?” 




Vidya, touched by his words, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to work with Amitabh for the first time in the 2007 film ‘Eklavya’.

The conversation takes a delicious turn when Big B asks Kartik and Vidya about their food preferences. Vidya reveals her go-to comfort food is “Dahi chawal,” explaining that it’s her favourite when she craves something simple. She also shared fond memories of indulging in street food, reminiscing about a vada pav stall in Chembur that she often visited. “I’m salivating just thinking about it,” she joked, adding that dahi chawal, or "dahi bhaat," is considered a cure-all in South India.

Kartik Aaryan chimed in with his own street food story, sharing how he frequented a Chinese food stall in Juhu, near Amitabh Bachchan’s home, during his struggling days. In fact, he joked that the stall named a dish after him, calling it "The Kartik Special." Big B, amused by the tale, promised to visit the place and try the dish, to which Vidya quipped, “Sir, if you go there, they might rename the place after you!” 




When Agastya Nanda got free food for two years because of Amitabh Bachchan


Amitabh also shared a personal anecdote involving his grandson, Agastya Nanda. While studying in New York, Agastya frequented a local Indian restaurant that had a dish named after Amitabh. When Agastya mentioned that the star was his grandfather, the staff didn’t believe him at first, but after showing them a photo, he was treated to free meals there for two years! Kartik humorously added, “Sir, whenever I go to eat at Juhu, they still charge me full price!”

Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film features an ensemble cast including Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Mishra, Triptii Dimri, and Rajpal Yadav. Kartik will reprise his role as Rooh Baba and Vidya Balan is returning as the unforgettable Manjulika. The film will release on November 1.
