New Delhi:'Kaun Banega Crorepati' Season 15 is ongoing. The show host and veteran recently shared a personal anecdote on the latest episode of the quiz show. When a question about Mirza Ghalib came up, Big B recalled an episode involving his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. In the episode, rollover contestant Abhsihek Garg was asked to name the poet associated with the Ballimaran locality of Old Delhi. While the contestant gave the correct answer, Amitabh Bachchan was reminded of the song 'Kajra Re', the lyrics of which had a reference of Ballimaran.
Penned by Gulzar, 'Kajra Re' is one of the most iconic moments of film item songs which features Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The 'Bunty Aur Babli' film had Aishwarya as a guest only for this song.
On KBC 15, Amitabh Bachchan said, "Usmein hum teeno the. Tab Aishwarya humari bahu nahi thi, ab ban gayi hai. Gaane me bahu thi, Abhishek the aur hum the. Uss gaane mein bol the) The song starred all three of us. At the time, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was not our daughter-in-law. She is now. It had lyrics about Ballimaran).
Amitabh Bachchan then requested the crew to play the song on the show.
Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai were married in a private ceremony in 2007. Their wedding happened in the Bachchan bungalow in the Juhu area in Mumbai.
Aishwarya and Abhishek welcomed their first born daughter Aaradhya in 2011 amid intense media frenzy. While Aishwarya Rai does not work a lot, Amitabh Bachchan is highly prolific. Though, Aishwarya's performance in 'PS-2' was highly appreciated.
Abhishek Bachchan too has been garnering a lot of praise for his recently released 'Ghoomer' alongside Saiyami Kher. Abhishek Bachchan played the role of an ex-cricketer who is almost always drunk and sad about the fate of his life. He plays Saiyami's coach and helps her participate in the Indian cricket team as a left-arm spinner.
Abhishek and Amitabh Bachchan, both of whom have a pipeline of projects lined up for release.
