TV actress Shweta Tiwari, who became a household name after playing the lead role of 'Prerna' in 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay', on Sunday (11th August) filed FIR at Samta Nagar police station (Kandivali East) against her second husband Abhinav Kohli for allegedly abusing her daughter Palak Tiwari. Post which, Abhinav Kohli got arrested by police. Now the latest reports suggest that, Abhinav Kohli has been granted bail in the domestic abuse case today (13th August).

Reportedly, Abhinav Kohli was produced in Borivali court today where he got bail. He is now out of jail however the case and investigation is still on.

In her complaint, TV actress Shweta Tiwar accused husband Abhinav of outraging the modesty of her daughter Palak by making obscene comments and showing indecent pictures in his mobile on several occasion since 2017.

For the same, an offense under section 354-A (sexual harassment), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation) is registered against Abhinav Kohli.

Post his arrest, Abhinav Kohli's mother came out in her son's support claiming that Shweta wamted divorce to get rid of him. Later, Shweta's daughter Palak took to her social media account and penned an elaborate note issuing a clarification on the case.

On a related note, Shweta Tiwari tied the knot with Abhinav Kohli in 2013 and they welcomed son Reyansh together in 2016. Before Abhinav, Shweta was married to Raja Choudhary. However, they got divorced in 2007 and Palak is Shweta's daughter with Raja.
