Bollywood and TV celebs have been actively encouraging their followers to take the first jab of COVID-19 vaccine and follow all the precautionary measure to keep the virus at bay. Parth Samthaan, who is fondly known for playing the role of Anurag Basu in ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’, has also got vaccinated.
The TV heartthrob shared a video from a vaccination centre to request his fans to take the COVID-19 vaccine on time. He stressed on the importance of getting vaccinated to safeguard ourselves against Coronavirus.
“It’s time to implement the awareness, it’s time to unite and get back our country the way it was by protecting ourselves and our loved ones. This phase shall pass soon,” Parth wrote.
Parth's co-stars including Pooja Banerjee and Shubhaavi Choksey dropped comments on the post.
Punjabi actress Himanshi Khurana took her first shot of COVID-19 vaccine at a centre in Mohali on Wednesday (May 5). She felt a tinch of dizziness for sometime after receiving the first jab. The 'Bigg Boss 13' contestant posted a photo along with the caption, “Vaccine Done, Lag Gai Suii”
Last year, both Parth and Himanshi had tested positive for COVID-19. They resumed work after recovering from the virus.
Radhika Madan, who made her Bollywood debut with 'Pataakha', has also got vaccinated against. The 'Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi' actress requested her fans to register on the Co-win and take part in the extended vaccination drive.
Madan also suggested her followers to sleep well and stay hydrated before taking the vaccine.
"I urge everyone to get themselves registered and get their shot and please take full precautions at the vaccination centers. Wear double mask, sanitize your hands, maintain distance and don't panic. Don't forget to get a good night's sleep the day before and stay well hydrated," the 'Angrezi Medium' star wrote on Instagram.
