New Delhi: Actress Jhanak Shukla, who sprang to stardom after appearing on the children's show ‘Karishma Ka Karishma,’ recently announced her engagement to longtime lover Swapnil Suryawanshi on Instagram. A Roka ceremony was just performed to officially seal her partnership. The star informed her followers about the roka ceremony by posting many photos from the event on her Instagram account.

After landing parts in Bollywood films at the age of 15, Jhanak decided to go away from the spotlight. A previous interview with the actress said that she got a part in the film ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’ with Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, and Saif Ali Khan because of the success of the program ‘Karishma Ka Karishma’ at the time. In addition, she co-starred with Konkona Sen Sharma and Irrfan Khan in the film 'Deadline: Sirf 24 Ghante'.
