‘King of comedy’ Kapil Sharma has turned a year older on Friday (April 2). The talented comedian, who has entertained the audience with his rib-tickling comedy, is celebrating his 40^th birthday with wife Ginni Chatrath and two children. This year is quite special as Kapil is celebrating his birthday with his newborn son.

Several tinsel town celebs took to social media to wish Kapil Sharma on his birthday. Sumona Chakravarti, who is an integral part of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’, also wished her ‘partner’ on his special day with a sweet post.

The duo has worked together in ‘Comedy Circus’, ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ and ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. The Bengali beauty shared a collage on Twitter which featured images from different shows. Sumona tried calling Kapil but his number was switched off.

“Happy Birthday Partner @KapilSharmaK9. P.s phone kyun switch off hai? baad main mat bolna maine call nahin kiya! (Why is your phone switched off? Don’t tell later that I didn’t call you).”

Krushna Abhishek shared a throwback photo with Kapil to wish the birthday boy. He wrote, "Happy birthday kapil. Lots of love and wishes to u. God bless u with everything u want in life. always keep smiling and continue making the world laugh with ur amazing talent."

Sunil Grover posted a birthday wish for Kapil on his official Twitter handle. He tweeted, "Happy birthday @KapilSharmaK9. Wishes and love. Stay happy and healthy pah ji."

Speculations were rife that Grover would make a comeback to 'The Kapil Sharma Show'. It was said that Salman Khan wanted his 'Bharat' co-star to stage a comeback to 'TKKS'. Grover reportedly left the show following a fallout with Kapil Sharma.

Kapil Sharma took a temporary break from ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ to spend time with his wife and newborn son, who was born on February 1, 2021. The ‘Firangi’ star will soon resume the shoot for the new season of his popular show, which airs on Sony TV.
