New Delhi: Bollywood and TV actor Kushal Punjabi, who was last seen in Colors TV’s ‘Ishq Mein Marjawan’, committed suicide by hanging himself from a fan at his home in Mumbai's Bandra area in December last year. The news came as a shock to his family and friends. Today (April 23), on the occasion of late Kushal Punjabi's birth anniversary, his close-friend and actor Apurva Agnihotri took to his social media account and remembered him.


The 'Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin' actor posted a throwback picture in which he is seen posing with late Kushal Punjabi. The picture is from one of their bike-riding sessions. In the picture, Kushal Punjabi is all smiles whereas Apruva is wearing a helmet & hence his face is covered.


Posing the picture on Instagram, Apurva wrote, "I stood and watched as my brother rode by it wasn’t the way it should be But I shed not a tear for this brother for he lived free and loved his life So ride on my brother till we meet again and when my time comes to take that last ride you can bet it’ll be with a smile...till then enjoy your special day Happy Birthday Dear Kushal Bhai...Miss ya"

The actor was 37 and was married to Audrey Dolhen. He is survived by his three-year-old son.


Kushal Punjabi was a popular face on Indian television. He was a part of various TV shows such as 'Dekho Magar Pyaar Se', 'Aasman Se Aage' and 'Khatron Ke Khiladi'. He was also seen in films such as 'Lakshya', 'Kaal', 'Salaam-e-ishq' and 'A Gentleman'.
