Zee TV's 'Ishq Subhan Allah', featuring Adnan Khan & Eisha Singh in lead role of 'Kabeer' & 'Zara' respectively, is one of the most loved daily soaps on small-screen currently. Elated with the success of 'Ishq Subhan Allah', the makers came up with show's spin-off titled 'Ishq Aaj Kal' featuring Angad Hasija, Ankita Sharma and Paras Kalnawat in pivotal roles. Now, TV actor Chirag Thakkar too has joined the cast of 'Ishq Aaj Kal' and will be seen as a CBI officer named 'Raghav'.

According to an entertainment portal, Chirag Thakar has already started shooting for 'Ishq Aaj Kal' in which he will play a positive character.

'Ishq Aaj Kal' is currently streaming on popular OTT platform Zee5 and show's eight episodes are already out. Chirag Thakkar will be seen entering 'Ishq Aaj Kal' in the upcoming episodes.

Confirming the same, Chirag Thakkar told India Forums that, "Yes, I’m playing a character named Raghav, who is a CBI officer."

On the personal front, Chirag Thakkar got married to 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' actress Parul Chauhan in December last year. 'Ishq Aaj Kal' will be his first project post wedding and the actor is excited for the same.


On the career front, Chirag Thakkar has been a part of shows like 'Punar Vivah 2', 'Amita Ka Amit' and is best known for playing the role of Sakshi Tanwar's onscreen brother 'Kartik' in Ekta Kapoor's popular Sony TV show 'Bade Achhe Lagte Hain'.
