New Delhi: TV actor Gaurav Sareen, who plays the role of Sameer Sharma in Colors TV’s popular show ‘Udaan’, has put down his papers. The talented actor has quit the social drama merely three-and-a-half months of joining the show.  Gaurav and his co-star Tanya Sharma had joined ‘Udaan’ after the show took a generation leap.

Gaurav, while talking to an entertainment portal, confirmed the news of him leaving ‘Udaan’. The actor will shoot for his last sequence on Saturday (June 1).

Gaurav said that he had informed the production house about his decision to quit the show around a month ago. He added that he was not happy with the way his character was being shaped up,

"I was disturbed with the way my character was being shaped. There was nothing much to do for me and no variations in my character. I was just reading and delivering my dialogues. Like in my previous show, Krishna Chali London, my character Radhe had a lot of variations. I was performing there. But this character is normal with no variations. So, I don't see myself anywhere in the show in spite of being the lead hero. I am not at all satisfied creatively and hence I though it's better to leave the show,” Gaurav told SpotboyE.

Before entering ‘Udaan’, Gaurav Sareen played the lead role in Star Plus’ ‘Krishna Chali London’ opposite Megha Chakraborty. The actor left the show after the makers showed his character Radhey’s death.

Talking about ‘Udaan’, the social drama will complete 5 successful years in August. Meera Deosthale, who played the role of Chakor, was replaced by Toral Rasputra after she left the show.
