The upcoming TV show 'Mughal-e-Azam' is in the news since a long-time now. While the show's casting is not yet finalised, there are reports that 'Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi' actor Shaheer Sheikh is in talks with the makers & might play the role of 'Salim'. Now according to the latest buzz, a known name has been roped-in by the makers as an antagonist for 'Mughal-e-Azam'. And, he is none other than TV actor Piyush Sahdev who was last seen in  a cameo in top-rated 'ZEE TV' show 'Ishq Subhan Allah', starring Eisha Singh and Adnan Khan.

According to a leading daily, the production house has roped in Piyush Sahdev to play the antagonist, Abu'l-Fazl.

Speaking about the show, a source further told TOI that, "The makers are leaving no stone unturned to make it a grand love story and hence, they are making sure that every actor fits the bill perfectly. The show is expected to go on floors by the middle of June and will go on air in July."

On the career front, Piyush Sahdev has been a part of various popular TV shows & is best known for playing the negative role of 'Samay' in popular show 'Beyhadh'.

In November last year, Piyush was arrested for allegedly raping a 23-year-old fashion designer after he had been in a live-in relationship with her. He was in judicial custody for 24 days after which he was released. 'Ishq Subhan Allah' was his first show after getting out of the jail four months ago.

Speaking about Shaheer, the report states that the talks with Sheikh have reached an advanced stage and the actor is expected to sign on the dotted line after he returns to India from Indonesia.

Coming back to Piyush being a part of 'Mughal-e-Azam', the actor is yet to react on the same.
