“I have received calls from my cousins and friends after CBSE cancelled the board exams for class 12th. Some of them are celebrating on call. I am happy with the government’s decision as they considered our fears and pandemic,” Ashnoor said.

“More than the fear of exams, it was the uncertainty that was troubling us. I am glad the uncertainty regarding the exams is over and students will no longer be anxious. We will be able to concentrate on our future and decide what we want to do,” the ‘Patiala Babes’ star added.

Ashnoor said that the students can now utilise the time in developing a new skill and honing their talent. “We can finally breathe a sigh of relief and pick up a hobby as we have time. Thankfully, we are not left hanging as we have a crystal-clear idea about the exams,” she said.

PM Narendra Modi said that the 'student friendly' decision was taken to safeguard the future and health of students. His tweet read, "Government of India has decided to cancel the Class XII CBSE Board Exams. After extensive consultations, we have taken a decision that is student-friendly, one that safeguards the health as well as future of our youth."
