Ekta Kapoor's most successful love-saga 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay' is all set to make a come back on 'Star Plus' with a reboot version. Recently, soap-queen Ekta Kapoor finally unveiled the first promo of the reboot version confirming that Erica Fernandes is stepping into Shweta Tiwari's shoes as 'Prerna'. But, the names of various popular actors are said to be approached to play 'Anurag' in the much-awaited show and the final name is yet to be announced. Erica's 'Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi' co-star Shaheer Sheikh was also said to be in the race to play 'Anurag' in 'Kasautii..' reboot version. But here comes a sad news for the fans of Erica & Shaheer!

There were reports that Shaheer has turned down the 'Star Plus' show & has signed 'Colors' upcoming show based on 'Mughal-E-Azam'. But since, there is no confirmation or announcement on the 'Colors' show too, his fans were praying to see him reuniting with Erica in 'Kasautii...' reboot. But now, Erica has finally confirmed that Shaheer is not a part of Ekta Kapoor's show.

An entertainment portal asked her if Shaheer is a part of 'Kasautii...', she denied it and said, “With a new show comes a new pair; they can’t keep pairing the same actors all over again and people will also love the new Jodi.”

According to latest reports, one among Parth Samthaan & 'Shamitabh' actor Abhimanyu Chaudhary has bagged the role of 'Anurag' but the makers are yet to confirm the same.

'Bigg Boss 11' finalist and popular TV actress Hina Khan is said to be playing Komolika in KZK 2. The Kashmiri beauty will have her own trademark accessory on the show.
