New Delhi: TV Czarina Ekta Kapoor and Ankita Lokhande got nostalgic as their ‘Pavitra Rishta’ completed ten years on Saturday (June 1). ‘Pavitra Rishta’ is one of the most loved and longest running shows on Indian television. The daily soap, which started airing from June 1, 2009 on Zee TV, has telecasted over 1400 episodes.

Ekta Kapoor took to Instagram to share a video along with a heartfelt caption. The ‘Naagin 3’ and ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’ producer wrote that TV channels refused to meet her at a time and it was ‘Pavitra Rishta’ which led to her resurrection.

‘’2008 from being on the top 25 slots I was out of top 50 slots... with no work n channels refusing to meet me saying ‘ I was too senior to say no to’ along came terumati selvum a@south show that @zeetv gave us a chance to remake and our’ pavitra Rishta’with television started again,’’ Ekta wrote on Instagram.

‘Pavitra Rishta’ was the Hindi TV remake of Tamil soap opera ‘Thirumathi Selvam’. Interestingly, the on-screen name of the female character in the Tamil show was also Archana.

Ankita Lokhande, who played the role of Archana opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in ‘Pavitra Rishta’, also shared a post as the show completed 10 years.

Sharing a throwback picture from the show, the ‘Manikarnika’ actress wrote, ‘’ No words to express ❤️#10yearsofpavitrarishta.’’
