New Delhi: Star Plus’ ‘Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala’ has won the hearts of the viewers with its simple and sweet storyline. The show starring Mohit Malik and Aakriti Sharma was recently shifted to 6:30pm slot to make way for ‘Yehh Jadu Hai Jinn Ka’. ‘Yehh Jadu..’, which stars Vikram Singh Chauhan and Aditi Sharma, has managed to secure good ratings at the 8:30pm slot.


We had informed you that ‘Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala’ will soon take a generation leap. Mohit Malik, who plays the role of Sikandar in the show, will no longer feature post the leap. Yes, you read that right.

The talented actor, while talking to a leading daily, confirmed that he has quit ‘KKB’. He said that he didn’t wish to play a father to grown-up girls because he wouldn’t look convincing.

“I was fine with playing father to two small girls in the show. But I do not want to play a father to grown-up girls because I don’t think it will look convincing,” Mohit told Bombay Times.


Mohit’s character Sikandar is currently suffering from brain tumour and the makers will end the character by showing his death.

“I am still shooting, and so the feeling that I will no longer get to spend time with my on-screen daughters (Akriti Sharma and Myra Singh) is yet to sink in. I shot for the show like they were my real daughters and it’s going to be tough,” the ‘Doli Armaano Ki’ actor further told the daily.


The production house is yet to reveal the name of the actresses who will play the lead role in ‘Kulfi Kumar Bajewala’ post the leap.
