New Delhi: Bigg Boss 9 contestant Mandana Karimi shared a throwback picture on Tuesday (December 18) on Instagram and shared her journey with her fans. The Iranian actress, who shot to limelight after participating in Salman Khan’s reality show, said that she left Iran after school in search of her dreams. The ‘Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3’ actress asked her fans to believe in themselves and fight for what they want. Mandana penned an emotional post and reminisced her journey in India.


"It's fair to say I’ve come a long way since who I was 15 years ago.I left Iran after school in search of my dreams.I traveled around Asia and finally made it to India where i call home. And by the grace of god and hard work i managed to start working in the movies. I want to use this opportunity to tell everyone that with hard work and determination you too can reach your goals and achieve your dream. Don’t stop believing in your self and fight for what you want. A lot of people will say that you cant do it and that you don’t have what it takes but believe in your self and everything else will follow . #staypositive #keepdreaming,’’ Mandana’s caption for the picture read.

Mandana remained in news last year when she accused her husband Gaurav Gupta and his family of domestic violence. Mandana and Gaurav have now moved on in their respective lives.

Mandana was last seen in Star Plus’ popular show ‘Ishqbaaaz’ which took a generation leap on Monday (December 17). She played the character of Nancy Malhotra in the romantic saga which stars Nakuul Mehta in lead role.
