The ongoing season of ‘Bigg Boss 18’ continues to captivate its audience with high-stakes drama, unpredictable twists, and deep emotional moments inside the house. In a recent episode, actress Alice Kaushik, known for her role in Pandya Store, made a heartbreaking revelation about her family. During a candid conversation with fellow contestant Nyrraa Banerji, Alice opened up about the difficult relationship between her parents and how it affected her growing up. She also spoke about her father’s suicide.

Alice Kaushik talks about her parents' toxic marriage

Despite her father’s aggressive behavior, Alice explained that she felt a close bond with him, believing that he understood her better than her mother. When Nyrraa asked if her father had ever been violent towards her, Alice nodded in silent acknowledgment. She then went on to recount how her parents’ fights eventually led to their separation, and Alice went to live with her mother.

Alice then recalled trying to reconnect with her father after several years. Upon her mother’s suggestion, she tried to reach him but was unable to get through. After numerous attempts, a policeman answered the phone. Initially unaware of what had happened, Alice repeatedly asked to speak to her father. It was then that the officer informed her of the tragic news—her father had taken his own life.

Alice described the shock and disbelief she felt, revealing that she asked the policeman to confirm what he said. In a tearful moment, she shared, “Phir unhone mujhe wo photo WhatsApp par bhej di aur wo photo kahi saalo Tak Meri aakho ke samne se nahi Gayi (Then he sent me that photo on WhatsApp, and that image stayed in front of my eyes for years).”

She also recalled the painful experience of attending her father’s last rites, where an official handed her the very rope her father used to end his life. “Unhone mujhe wo rope hath mein de di aur kaha, isse kiya tha. I don’t know why he did that or why he handed over that rope to me. Maybe he did not have any feelings or emotions,” Alice said.

The conversation then shifted to Alice’s relationship with her mother. She revealed that by the time of her father’s last rites, her mother had remarried and was not present for the rituals. Alice also shared how her stepfather played a role in pushing her mother away from her, leading to a strained and distant relationship between them.
