New Delhi: The makers of ‘Bigg Boss’ are all set to launch a new season on Colors TV in the next few months. ‘Bigg Boss 12’ couldn’t set the TRP charts on fire despite creating maximum buzz on social media. TV’s popular bahu Dipika Kakar lifted the winner’s trophy, defeating Sreesanth, Karanvir Bohra, Deepak Thakur and Romil Chaudhary in the finale. Unlike ‘BB 12’, the new season will only feature celebs as contestants. Brainstorming sessions are going on in full-swing at the channel’s office for ‘Bigg Boss 13’.

As per the latest buzz, the makers have approached Khichdi fame Richa Bhadra for ‘BB 13’. The TV actress is fondly known for playing the role of Chakki in Star Plus’ ‘Khichdi’.

A report in a leading daily has suggested that Richa has been approached for the controversial yet popular reality show.

Richa Bhadra has been approached for ‘Bigg Boss 13’ and things are almost finalized, a source told Times Of India.

Richa grabbed eyeballs earlier this year when she revealed that she quit acting because of casting couch. She said that post her marriage, she auditioned for some shows but few people asked her to compromise. Her revelation had set many tongues wagging.

She also said that she was body-shamed several times and even makers asked her to shed weight or do roles of a fat girl.

"I have constantly been told, “Oh you are too chubby!” This is how I am, this is my body structure. Often I have been offered roles of a ‘fat girl’ as per the script’s demand. I don’t want that tag. I have been told to lose weight if I want to act. I don’t want to lose weight only to be a part of the industry,’’ the actress told TOI.

On the personal front, Richa got married to Vivek Gupta in 2017. Vivek is a businessman.

On the professional front, Richa Bhadra has been part of shows like ‘Baa Bahu aur Baby’ and ‘Mrs. Tendulkar’. Fans still remember her as the lovable Chakki from ‘Khichdi’. The show starred Supriya Pathak, Rajeev Mehta and Anang Desai in key roles.

Talking about Bigg Boss 13', Salman Khan will continue to host the reality show. 'BB 13' is expected to go on-air from September 29 on Colors channel.
