Sony TV's recently launched singing reality show 'Superstar Singer', judged by Himesh Reshammiya, Javed Ali and Alka Yagnik, is fetching good response from the viewers. The show, hosted by Jay Bhanushali, is doing great in terms of TRP ratings and is a regular in the top 10 list. Apart from contestants, viewers are also liking Jay Bhanushali's hosting. But, here comes bad news for Jay Bhanushali's fans. He will not be seen in the show and another TV actor has replaced him.

But wait! There's a twist.

Jay Bhanushali will be missing from 'Superstar Singer' only for a week as he's not well and Rithvik Dhanjani will host the show in his absence.

According to an entertainment portal, "Jay Bhanushali who is down with high fever will be unable to host an episode of the singing reality show and the makers have decided to rope in another popular TV actor, Rithvik Dhanjani to host the show."

Confirming the same, Jay Bhanushali told India Forums that, "Yes I didn't shot for  Superstar Singer as I was down with high fever. So Rithvik will be seen in the upcoming episode."

Jay Bhanushali's fans will miss him in 'Superstar Singer' upcoming episode but he'll be back soon.

On the career front, Jay Bhanushali made his acting debut with Ekta Kapoor's 'Kayamath' also featuring Shabir Ahluwalia and Panchi Bora. Post which, she went on be a part of various TV show as an actor as well as host. On the personal front, Jay Bhanushali is beaming with joy as his actress-wife Mahhi Vij is expecting their first child and they are super-excited for the arrival of their little munchkin of joy.
