New Delhi: TV buffs were surprised after the rumours of Saumya Tandon quitting her hit show ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain’ circulated on the internet. It was said that the talented actress, who plays the role of Anita bhabhi in the popular sitcom, is not willing to shoot amid the COVID-19 crisis as she has a young kid at her home. Although, the makers didn’t make any announcement, gossip mills suggested that Shefali Jariwala would replace Saumya Tandon as the new Anita in ‘BGPH’.

According to a report in an entertainment portal, Shefali Jariwala won’t replace Saumya as she will soon resume shooting for the show. She has not quit ‘Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain’ contrary to the reports on the internet.  The actress will start shooting for the show by the end of this week.

"Saumya has apprehensions on coming to the set and shooting in the pandemic as her kid is very young and she is concerned about her health. But she hasn't decided to quit the show. In fact, Saumya will start shooting again by the end of this week," a source told SpotboyE.

Saumya and her husband welcomed their first child on January 14, 2019. They have named their son Miraan.



Shefali Jariwala, who grabbed several eyeballs during her stint in Salman Khan’s ‘Bigg Boss 13’, also refuted the rumours. She said that she had no discussion with the makers regarding the show.

"It's not at all true. I really don't know how my name came into the picture when there has been no discussion at all," Shefali told the portal.



Talking about ‘Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai’, the show has started airing its fresh episodes from July &TV on July 13. The sitcom also stars Aasif Sheikh, Shubhangi Atre and Rohitash Gaud. It has successfully completed over 1300 episodes and is still going strong.
