New Delhi: Popular Television actress Shubhangi Atre, who is well-known for her role of Angoori in the sitcom ‘Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai’, recovered from COVID-19 a few days back. The actress tested positive for the virus early in April.


After recovering from coronavirus, Shubhangi Atre opened up about how she battled COVID-19 and revealed that she has been offered to participate in ‘Nach Baliye’. While speaking to Times Of India, Atre told, “I was offered ‘Nach Baliye’ again this year like last year. They wanted me to participate with my husband Peeyush Poorey and we had started practicing also but we got COVID. Now I am not sure if the show is happening this year. While I am a classical dancer, apne husband ko mujhe kafi nachana padega (laughs).”

Shubhangi further told the publication that she received a call to participate in ‘Bigg Boss’ too. She shared her take on participating in the reality show and said that she is not sure about it. She told, “In fact, I got a call for ‘Bigg Boss’ too. Though it’s a good show, I am not sure about it. I am very non-controversial but the show’s format can be abusive sometimes. My daughter is 15, I don't want to set a wrong example for her.”


Shubhangi started her acting career with Ekta Kapoor’s show ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ after her marriage to Piyush Poorey. Other than ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain’, she is also popular for starring in ‘Do Hanson Ka Jodaa’, ‘Chidiya Ghar’, ‘Adhuri Kahaani Hamari’ and others.
