New Delhi: Popular TV actress Ankita Lokhande, who is fondly known for playing the role of Archana in 'Pavitra Rishta', turned a year older on Saturday (December 19). The Marathi Mulgi celebrated her 36th birthday with her beau Vicky Jain and family members. Ankita took to social media to share photos from her fun-filled birthday celebrations. The 'Manikarnika' actress received a special surprise from her loved ones at midnight.

The actress, who ringed in her birthday with friends and family, looked beautiful in a red and blue short dress. The wall was decorated with candid photos of Ankita Lokhande and balloons. Vicky left no stone unturned to pamper his ladylove on her day.

Ankita posted two photos on her Instagram handle wherein she can be seen making a wish before cutting the cake. The caption for the post read, "Wishes and dreams."

Sushant Singh Rajput's Sister Comments On Ankita Lokhande's Photo


Shweta Singh Kirti dropped a comment on the Instagram post and wished the birthday girl. She wrote, "Happy birthday beautiful." Several TV celebs including Karishma Tanna and Jay Bhanushali also wished Ankita in the comments section.

Ankita has provided rock solid support to Sushant Singh Rajput's family after his death. The 'Dil Bechara' actor was found dead at his apartment on June 14, 2020. Ankita and Sushant fell in love on the sets of Ekta Kapoor's 'Pavitra Rishta'. They played the roles of Archana and Manav in the popular daily soap. Their break-up in 2016 surprised several fans as they were considered one of the most loved jodis in telly land.

Ankita paid tribute to Sushant at the recently held Zee Rishtey Awards 2020. She performed on several songs including 'Saathiya Tune Kya Kiya' at the awards show. The song often featured in 'Pavitra Rishta', which ran for five long years.
