Singer & TV actor Amit Tandon, who is best known for playing the role of 'Subbu' in Karan Patel-Divyanka Tripathi's popular 'Star Plus' show 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein', was recently in the limelight due to his estranged wife Rubi Tandon's arrested & 10 months imprisonment in Dubai’s Al Raffa Jail. Rubi has been granted bail & she is a free woman now. But did you know that before tying the knot with Rubi, Amita Tandon was in love with his ex-girlfriend Monica Narula, who lost her life in the 9/11 attacks in US.

The horrific incident took place 17 years ago & Amit still cannot forget his lose. Yesterday (11th September) he remembered her. He posted a picture of the twin towers situated in US in his Instagram storyand wrote, “17 years ago life changed forever...Miss you Mankika. #willneverforget

Coming back to Amit Tandon, he made his TV debut as a contestant in the first season of singing reality show 'Indian Idol' which was won by Abhijeet Sawant. Amit rose to fame with 'Indian Idol' and was one of the finalists. Later, he made his acting debut with a pivotal role in Ekta Kapoor's hit show 'Kaisa Ye Pyar Hai. After which, he went on to feature in various popular shows like 'Karam Apnaa Apnaa', 'Dill Mill Gayye', 'Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi' and was seen opposite Kratika Sengar in 'Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki' which went off-air in July this year.
