Gurmeet also revealed that, he and wife Debina met the two girl three years ago at a family wedding. Gurmeet's parents informed him that Pooja is an orphan and after the death of Lata's father, both the girls moved in with a relative for bread and butter and started working as domestic helps.
His parents told him about Pooja who is an orphan and about her first cousin Lata when Lata’s father passed away and the two girls moved in with a distant relative. To attain a livelihood, the girls would have had to work as domestic helps. When Gurmeet’s mother realised that, she discussed it with the couple.
