TV actress Surbhi Chandna became a household name after playing the lead role of 'Anika' opposite Nakuul Mehta in Gul Khan's popular Star Plus show 'Ishqbaaaz'. Few months ago, the actress moved out of 'Ishqbaaaz' due to a generation leap. Ever since then, Surbhi's fans are missing seeing her on their TV screens. Recently various reports suggested that Surbhi Chandna has been approached to play the lead in the remake of ‘Sanjivani’ on Star Plus. Now according to the latest buzz, Nakuul Mehta might feature opposite Surbhi in the upcoming show.

Yes, you read that right!

According to an entertainment portal, "With the closure of Ishqbaaz announced, the channel and makers will try their best to bring in popular actor Nakuul Mehta into the show as the male lead."

Speaking about the same, a source told IWMBuzz that, “Talks are surely on with the Ishqbaaaz leads Nakuul and Surbhi to play the leads in the medical concept on Star Plus. But things as of now are pretty nascent and lot of factors will go into the decision-making eventually.”

However, Nakuul & Surbhi are yet to react on the same.

Speaking about ‘Sanjivani’, the medical drama featuring Gurdeep Kohli, Mihir Mishra, Rupali Ganguly, and Mohnish Behl in pivotal roles began in 2002 and ran for around three years. After the success of 'Sanjivani', the show's makers launched its sequel 'Dill Mill Gayye' in the year 2007. Featuring Karan Singh Grover, Jennifer Winget, Karan Wahi, Shilpa Shukla among others, 'Dill Mill Gayye' too went on to become one of the most loved shows on Indian Television.
