New Delhi: 'Splitsvilla' Season 9 fame actor Aditya Singh Rajput was found dead in the bathroom of his home on Monday. The 32-year-old actor was living in a shared apartment on the 11th floor of the Lashkaria Heights building in the posh Oshiwara area. 
 
Though there were a few reports that the death could be due to a suspected drug overdose, the Mumbai police have said that it is currently probing the matter. 


Aditya’s friends from the industry, including Varun Sood, designer Rohit Verma, and others paid tribute to the late actor. 


Filmmaker Onir tweeted, “Shocked to hear this... so young and full of life. Vey very Tragic.” 






 


Paying his tributes to Aditya, Varun Sood tweeted, "Just heard the news about Aditya Singh Rajput.. It really shook me. I know I am not in touch with anyone from MTV days except a few..but I hope everyone is keeping safe and healthy…" 






 


Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit tweeted, "It’s shocking. Can’t believe this . A fun-loving guy , a very good actor Aditya Singh Rajput is found dead at his apartment in Andheri area. Body sent for post-mortem. Have no words to express my sorrow and condolences to the family." 


 






Aditya Singh Rajput’s close friend Sweety Walia took to Instagram stories and wrote, "OMG! This can not be true! Aditya, no ways! We are completely shaken. May your soul rest in peace. waheguru #friendsforever." 




Sweety Alia also spoke to Aaj Tak and shared that the actor has messaged her a few days back. 


“My friendship with Aditya is very deep. He was such a cheerful boy, he used to give a lot of respect to those who were older than him. The news of his death has left me broken. I got his message a few days back. I got an injury and he had been sending me voice messages. No one says that you are hurt, you will be fine. His last message was, ‘Come home soon.. I will feed you Maggi,'" Sweety told Aaj Tak.  


Designer Rohit Verma spoke to the media and responded to drug overdose rumours. “There are a lot of rumours, a lot of people think...lot of people are talking about him, about overdose and all...The postmortem report is yet to come. I think it is all bullsh**, it can be an accident.Let us leave that job to the experts - I think we should all let the doctors do their job. We have no right to pass this kind of statement for anyone, and create such wrong rumours, when he is not around,” he told media. 


Rajput was born in Uttarakhand but settled in Delhi and started as a model-cum-actor as a child star in the glamour industry around 20 years ago. 
 
Over the years, he became a familiar face on more than 300 advertisements and spots, and acted in films like "Krantiveer", "Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara", "Love" and others. 
 
On the small screen, he was seen in shows like 'Cambala Investigation Agency', 'Splitsvilla - 9', 'Love', 'Ashiqui', 'Code Red', 'Rajputana', 'Aawaz-9', 'Bad Boys' and more.
