New Delhi: Samarthya Gupta, who co-starred with Aditi Sharma in Apollena, has addressed the infidelity accusations levelled by Aditi's husband, Abhineet Kaushik, in a public statement. While speaking with Zoom, Samarthya Gupta strongly refuted the dating rumours, calling them "wrong" and "damaging."
According to Samarthya Gupta, he was "mentally shattered" when his mother broke the news of the accusations to him first. The emotional toll has intensified since he also disclosed that his father, who had a stroke two years ago, is now dealing with a health issue.
"After listening to this story, even I got shattered, and I'm a person who doesn't allow much to affect me because these are very trivial things. But when something affects your family, it does take a toll. These are wrong allegations. We've never been caught, the way he is claiming. We are working professionals. We are actors. On-screen chemistry jo dikhti hai, log usi ko hi believe karte hain," Gupta said denying the allegations.
In response to a question about his connection with Aditi, he said that they are just friends. He explained, "We are good friends, and we are always going to be good friends. And secondly, as a professional, when you work together 24/7, you become a family. It's not just with her, it's the same with the actor playing my father or elder brother"

Samarthya Gupta Talks About Aditi Sharma's 'Secret Marriage'
Samarthya Gupta also discussed Aditi's private life, including her marriage to Abhineet Kaushik. He recounted an awkward situation between Aditi and her spouse and remembered instances when Aditi grew emotionally disturbed while filming ‘Apollena’.
"He (Abhineet Kaushik) entered my cosmetics room without permission. And you can even see that this is completely inaccurate. He approached me intending to converse, but I was in no mood to do so because I was mentally drained. He said, 'I'm her husband.' 'Great, mujhe pata nahi tha.' I'm not very aware of that. I said, 'Good, we're just friends,'" he recalled.
Samarthya also claimed that Abhineet was controlling Aditi's life and that she should have more freedom over her personal and professional decisions.
