Popular TV actress Deepika Singh who's currently seen as 'Sandhya Patwardhan' in Colors TV show 'Kavach - Mahashivratri', is still remembered for her debut role of 'IPS Sandhya Rathi' in Star Plus hit show 'Diya Aur Baati Hum'. Sandhya sported a police officer's uniform in DABH which ran on television for 5 long years. The actress got nostalgic today as her 2 yr old son Soham Goyal dressed in Army uniform for his school's 73rd Independence Day function. Deepika took to Instagram to series of pictures of her son in uniform and wrote a long message with it reminiscing the old days from 'Diya Aur Baati Hum' shoots. her caption reads - "Got nostalgic today seeing my baby, Soham as an Army Officer with the help of my sister @anamika.aashi11 as I was busy shooting. Remembering my DABH days when I had the privilege to play the role of an IPS Officer and carrying the uniform proudly".

And Deepika further pays tribute to the men in uniform who keep the country safe from the evil eyes.

She added further - "It reminded me how grateful I use to feel towards our Indian Army & Police during every shot. We are all safe today just because they are protecting us without thinking of their safety. I feel very fortunate as an actor that I got a chance to portray the role of an Indian Cop and my Salutute to the Indian Police & Indian Army. Thankyou from the bottom of my heart."

Deepika had tied the knot with her 'Diya Aur Baati Hum' director Rohit Raj Goyal on 2nd May 2014 & their first child, son Soham, was born on 20th may 2019. The popular 'Sandhya Rathi' of Television returned to work making a comeback onscreen after almost two years and the supportive husband even took a break from work to support her.
