New Delhi: Taapsee Pannu shared a new poster for her next film ‘Shabaash Mithu’, which sent a powerful message to the audience. The movie will be the biography of Mithali Raj, the captain of the Indian women's national cricket team.


To be specific, the actress will be featured in the film portraying Mithali Raj. Her life is chronicled in the film, including the highs and lows, disappointments and memorable events. 


‘Shabaash Mithu’, her forthcoming production, has been one of the most eagerly awaited films in recent memory, as it would have Taapsee wearing the blue jersey for the first time on the silver screen.


What better day to commemorate the accomplishments of this outstanding athlete than International Women's Day? On today's Instagram post, Taapsee revealed a new poster for the upcoming flick.


The actress can be seen wearing the jersey of the Indian cricket team and wielding a bat and a helmet in each of her hands in the new poster for the sports drama.



She captioned the poster as, “She continues to inspire millions like me. To break a few stereotypes to lay down a new path ahead for many to follow. This Women’s Day I am cheering for the front runners in the fight to #BreakTheBias #ShabaashMithu #ShabaashWomen #shabaashyou”.


The film is directed by Rahul Dholakia and written by Priya Aven. Vijay Raaz will also be featured in a prominent role in the film.
