New Delhi: Sushmita Sen got candid in an interview about her personal life and revealed how she had come close to getting married thrice and how her kids were never the reason why she did not get married. The fomer Miss Universe title holder who has made a comeback with the popular OTT series 'Aarya' on Disney+ Hotstar opened up about her relationships.
In an interview with Twinkle Khanna on Tweak India's YouTube channel, Sushmita said, "Luckily I met some very interesting men in my life, the only reason I never got married is because they were a let down. It had nothing to do with my kids. My kids were never in the equation. If at all, they have been very gracious. Both my kids have accepted people in my life with open arms, never made a face. They have given everybody equal measure of love and respect. It's the most beautiful thing to watch."
Sushmita Sen has two adopted daughters, Renee Sen and Alisah Sen. The actress has also given her surname to them and has many a times been a quite vocal champion of women rights.
In the same interview, Sushmita added how the actress had come close to getting married thrice but God saved her. She also added that disasters followed in the personal lives of men she was in a relationship with and that by God's grace she and her daughters were safe.
In an earlier interview with the same publication, Sushmita had shared the thumb rule for all her relationships,“I don’t want anybody to come and share the responsibility but never try and ask me to step away from it.”
Meanwhile, on the work front Sushmita Sen was last seen in 'Aarya 2' the second installment of the super successful show 'Aarya' where she played the titular role of a single mother who gets embroiled in a drug business. In her quest to protect her family, she becomes the next big don of a large drug syndicate.
