New Delhi: After former IPL chairman Lalit Modi confirmed his relationship with Sushmita Sen on Thursday. Soon after the news of their relationship was announced by Modi, social media erupted with a massive wave that only seems to be talking about Sushmita Sen and Lalit Modi's relationship.
The 58-year old took to his official Twitter handle to share pics with Sushmita and wrote, "Just back in London after a whirling global tour #maldives # sardinia with the families - not to mention my #betterhalf @sushmitasen47 - a new beginning a new life finally. Over the moon (sic).."
Although the official confirmation has come now, rumours about them dating have been floating since forever. Long back in 2010, it was widely reported that the 'Aarya' star is dating the business tycoon.
As per Pinvilla, Sushmita Sen and Lalit Modi grew close after they were spotted spending time together in 2010 in Italy after a wedding. They were spotted having a good time visiting places or sharing meals during the Italy trip.
However, nothing was confirmed from both parties and the speculations though rife died down after some time.
Now, Lalit Modi has confirmed their relationship with a tweet and pictures with Sushmita from years gone by and the current status of their relationship.
Sushmita also shared pictures with her daughters on Instagram and wrote, “I am in a happy place!!! NOT MARRIED NO RINGS Unconditionally surrounded by love!! Enough clarification given now back to life & work!! Thank you for sharing in my happiness always and for those who don’t it’s #NOYB Anyway!!! I love you guys!!! #duggadugga #yourstruly (sic)."
Lalit Modi had also clarified that the couple is nor married. He tweeted, “"Just for clarity. Not married - just dating each other. That too it will happen one day."
On the other hand, Sushmita’s brother Rajeev did not know about his sister’s relationship.
"I am pleasantly surprised. I will speak to my sister before I say anything. I wasn't aware of it at all. My sister is yet to confirm this from her end, so I can't comment, as of now," Rajeev told The Times of India.
