Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput has committed suicide at his Mumbai residence on Sunday afternoon. The 34-year-old actor was found hanging in his apartment in Bandra. The 34-year-old actor was reportedly suffering from depression and police found some anti-depressants pill in his room.


The actor who shot to prominence with the television industry as Manav in Pavitra Rishta has shocked one and all with this step. Sushant Singh Rajput was one of the renowned actors of Bollywood who made his debut in 2013 with 'Kai Po Che'.


Though Rajput’s career was undergoing a cold phase since some time, he had already made a mark among the promising actors of the industry and had given several critically acclaimed films to the industry. In his 8-year-long career, he starred in 11 films mostly hits. He had featured in films such as MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Kai Po Che, Kedarnath, Chhichhore. He was last seen in Netflix's 'Drive' movie opposite Jacqueline Fernandez.

Kai Po Che: Sushant rose to fame on the silver screen with his debut in 'Kai Po Che', a film was based on Chetan Bhagat’s best-seller 'The 3 Mistakes of My Life.' Released in 2013, the film was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut.


Chhichhore: Released in 2019, 'Chhichhore' is the story of Anirudh (Sushant Singh Rajput) and Maya (Shraddha Kapoor), successful engineers and a divorced couple whose world come crashing when their only son Raghav tries committing suicide after failing in engineering entrance exam. In the film, Sushant as a father leaves no stones unturned to bring colours to Raghav's life, uprooting willingness to relive, and come over with failures of life.


M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story: Sushant Singh Rajput had won several hearts with his performance as former Indian cricket team skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni in ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’. The film managed to received rave reviews and set the box office on fire.


PK: Sushant had featured in Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘PK’, along with Anushka Sharma. The two played an on-screen couple in the film co-starring Aamir Khan. Although Sushant played a supporting role in 'PK', his performance was appreciated by the fans and critics.


Kedarnath: The film, produced by Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP and Abhishek Kapoor's Guy In the Sky Pictures, tells the love story of a 'pithoo' and a pilgrim amidst the wrath of nature as the holy place drowns in flood. However, love rises above all. In the film, Sushant played Muslim porter Mansoor beside newcomer Sara Ali Khan.  Though the character was underwritten, Sushant played it with utmost honesty.
